UPDATED: THREE Neat Indian Cent Exonumia Pieces (Pocket Mirror, "Widget" and Watch Fob)!!!

UPDATE: See THIRD piece below!

Todd has been so busy trying to get everyone's photographs that he took in Baltimore processed, but I told him I was having "photo posting withdrawals" and anxious to post my Baltimore newps! So I managed to "badger" Todd into giving me a sneak peak of a couple photos he took for me! image

I bought this beautiful 1902 Indian cent pocket mirror at Baltimore. As you can see it is an original gem red Indian cent in a neat "Good Luck" Braxmar Jewelry Company advertising pocket mirror. I have a friend who collects these so I've seen quite a few, but this is one of the prettiest I've seen. The only real flaw is that the antique celluloid that used to cover the Indian cent is missing. Otherwise, it's in pristine condition.

The other piece I had Todd photograph is an 1892 Indian cent (found on Ebay) that was carved into something similar to the large cent pie crimper or gear that I posted a couple weeks ago except this one doesn't have the hole in the middle. It's possible it was made to use as a gear that didn't require the hole, but I'd welcome any other information about it.

Yippee! Todd surprised me and just sent me photos of the other neat Exonumia piece I bought at Baltimore! (Guess I'll have to give him a break next time he becomes insubordinate and I have to fire him!) This is a super cool turn-of-the-century pocket watch fob and I have a little story that goes with it.

I saw this exact piece on Ebay about 12 years ago and thought it was really neat, though I didn't know much about it. I didn't win it but every now and then something would remind me of this watch fob. As a matter of fact, I was just thinking about it a couple weeks ago and that I should have bid more on it because it stayed with me. So then on at Baltimore on Saturday, a forum member (Tyedye) comes to my table with a handful of different things - Conder tokens, some Indian cents, the pocket mirror, and this watch fob! I couldn't believe my eyes - this cool old piece had come back to me after all these years. So here it is. The Indian cents aren't in the best of shape, and one of the cellophane covers is missing, but I think it's a one-of-a-kind piece, and I love it just the same!
