So I took my son to the Baltimore Show today...
The Cub Scouts can earn a beltloop for collecting so I took my son the the Baltimore show today. There were Boy Scouts there too working on their collecting merit badges, so I figured Daniel should be able to work on his beltloop in a similar fashion.
This was a very kid friendly show. Admission is free. They had a "coin grab" which was also free (mainly foreign coins). Additionally, they were provided a Harris folder for US Cents (1941-1974) and had 30 minutes to go through a pile of wheat cents to fill spots in the folder... this too was free and they got to keep the folder! I knew some of the vendors at the show and they gave Daniel prety good "deals" on pieces for his Buffalo Nickel collection. All in all, this was a great experience for Daniel... and me! I wish I had presence of mind to have brought my camera today... a picture of my son in front of the JJ Teaparty booth... now THAT would have been priceless!!

edited to add: BTW, I forgot some of the other freebies for the kids.. PCGS slabbed 2005 Jefferson Nickel. My son loves the design because it has a buffalo on it. Also, a Log Cabin Lincoln Cent from the Information Booth on Concourse C. My son is ecstatic... he's out showing his treasures to his friends...
