Just for fun, here's a detail scan of the obverse rays on 1934-D VAM-3. This is probably the most economical naked-eye doubled die among all U.S. coins. (The reverse has a large, filled "D" mintmark; the much more difficult to locate VAM-4 has a small open "D.")
Here is my Cracked Planchet certainly nice in its own right but not nearly as nice as Broadstrucks!!! FWIW I sent this one off to PCGS Today.. what do you guys think it will grade? or will it even holder with a crack in the main focal area?
