I probably would have bid on one seated dollar had I seen it was going off prior to 6 minutes before it was auctioned off. image
Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!

I bid on one item with no reserve. I bid higher than the "suggested bid"

Somehow, it still shows that I did not win the item. I'll give them a day or two to figure it out.

Did you have it on your watch list? Mine shows all the prices realized for the items on my watch list.

indeed I did. I will just chalk it up to standard Stack's weirdness for now.

I tried looking at the Stacks website today and it was awfully slow.

So I used my time browsing other sites. image

Stacks will invoice you in a few days.

I normally pay via check and they ship registered mail so it can take close to 2 weeks.

Usually, a messenger hand delivers the rolled parchment, with the candle wax seal of QDB.

I won both coins I bid on. So, I'm pretty pumped.

A new addition to the Barber Quarter collection...

The second coin is a replacement for the one I sold last year - which was a great coin -
however - it was deemed to have been cleaned - and came back as a Genuine - which upset
me greatly as its been in my collection for over a dozen years.

Here is the Replacement - its in a PCGS 63 Holder:

It was a good thing that I didn't see those ice cream tokens (190 191) I could have spent all my Baltimore money!

How do you know that the winning bidder wouldn't have paid more, even considerably more? In other words, don't feel badly, as you might not have won it even if you had bid much higher.

patience paid off. Stack's web site now lists one item for me under "items I've won" in the "my account" section. Cool. I'll wait for further confirmation, of course
