Error Guys

I purchased this error on ebay last night and was wondering what is going on with the letter e in one and dime.Please explain how this happened if you can.The auction number is 260557997013.Thanks for any help.Mike

    The bottom of the letters are undefined because of the metal flow during the broadstrike. With the collar in place the metal has no choice but to flow up into the dies under pressure from the strike; without a colar it takes the path of least resistance which is out from between the dies instead of up into the letters.

    nice coin - when you get it, look at it closely


    I bought a quarter once and it was double struck making it look like a broadstrike,
    but the second strike was post mint damage

    the outer section was much thinner than the rest and I could see the ring where they punched


    I need an explanation on how reeding got there - and then perfectly centered next strike
