$230 gone through to date. No silver but some interesting finds. Any input to value if any above .50 would be great. There are 2 KILLER DDO's on 1977-D that aren't in the CPG that are worth looking for. Die #1 is as strong as the 1974-D. Also, 1971-D has some nice ones too.

I've found a lot (maybe 100?) 1995P & 1996P die cracks from the front of the neck.
I saved some, but quit after a while.
look for what I think is a die clash on the neck on the 95/96/98 (or maybe it is 2 of the 3 years) for the P's, too. I don't know if they're worth anything and no one has seen them in hand to confirm.

I have $11 worth of new and shiney 2009 halves (got them from my bank today), are they worth saving?
Here's a 97p that I believe to be a clash as I have found one other with the spike coming from the mouth, the curvy line in the filed and the mark under the chin.... but I'm not sure as the other photo I posted IS a die crack...mmmmm... how can a clash turn into a die crack?
ok after reading this thread last week i decided to head out and picked up a case on friday, almost half way thru no silver at all but did find a couple nice coins for empty spaces, now i just found a 1988 S now i have the d and p but have never seen this S and the coin is not silver as you look on the edge and its copper in color what the heck is this ? thks for answering my question kurtdog learning is a good thing thats my first one......
It's a Deep Cameo Proof. A few of the later S-Proofs were also minted in silver, but not this baby. You search these boxes long enough, you'll find these.
finished up on my 500 worth no silver at all lol seems like in illinois someone is hitting the boxes before they get to the bank good luck on your search............

I know at least 1/3 of bag was my prior rejects but I still found 24 of the 40% and 1 64 half.
There are stll a lot of 40-90% halves out there but it gets less and less every year.
After all 1964 was 46 years ago.

No. Satin finish was only in the mint sets.

I did not notice a spike coming from the upper lip or I would have photographed it. I don't think what you have there is a die clash.
The name is LEE!
and when they try to polish out the clash, some detail is lost in and around the ear, hair part and sometimes around the front of the face even.
<< <i>how can a clash turn into a die crack? >>
When you slam 2 dies togather something has to give. I think it is very possible for a clash to crack dies.
