Hello All,
I have been searching for awhile now for that uncertified 68' Chevelle and it has occured to me that this is really no different than trying to find the right coin that fits your budget and has the right eye appeal. One that has that toned look and natural wear that may grade XF-45
but has the potential to upgrade to a MS-63/64. Finding one that would go MS67/68 is out of my price range. Amazingly there aren't a whole lot on the market unless they are in the PO-2 to VG-8 range. Most of them have already been cleaned and tooled and wouldn't even make it into a genuine holder. Oh sure, I imagine that Laura
could find me one or Madmarty could make me one but that would take all the fun out of it. I guess that patience is the name of the game and eventually someone that has it in their registery set will grow tired of it someday

To keep this coin related I have already been thinking how I can incorporate a 68 Proof Kennedy into the dash and on the shifter.

The second, a 1965 Buick Riviera 401 NailHead in a vf or so. Both have to have matching numbers, and original metal.
Keep looking for that "one" with the right look, it will happen.

I've been a car guy forever....it's in the blood (4th generation!).
I can't afford either and dream about both...I want to have a 58 Edsel wagon one day...four doors with wood paneling and that teal color you saw so much in the 1950s....Oh yeah!
I also want to own at least one genuine race car.
My lifelong dream has always been to be a race car driver. Unfortunatly, medical issues have made that impossible
By the way, I have 10,000+ car photos I've taken here...

<< <i>One HUGE difference between coins and classic cars. The classic car can be cleaned and refurbished without the whole collector base getting on your case. Do the same thing to a coin and you are toast.

Porsche 912? Cool! I'm a 356 Guy myself and a Rover guy too. I am, sadly, roverless at the moment but the right County LWB is out there somewhere....
Oh, and I have an SLQ on my keychain (To keep this coin related). I also have an 88 BMW M5, which is now a classic I suppose.
