Selling coins on ebay

When do you as a seller leave feedback for a buyer ? And it would be interesting to hear the buyers side , when do you feel a seller should leave you feedback ?
I thought id ask as i always feel uncomfortable if i havnt left feedback as soon as payment shows and especially if its quick.But to my disdain looking over items sold i find maybe 20% or so dont ever bother to leave a seller feedback and to a lesser extent sellers dont always leave a buyer feedback.
I suppose theres many reasons to why some do and some dont , i thought id ask the above to see how others feel on the subject.I realise it doesnt matter in the scheme of things.

It's usally the morning after the auction ends or payment clears.

Can i ask ..as a buyer how do you feel about feedback given to you ? Do you think , ok , i paid my money so ive done my bit and therefore should be given feedback as soon as possible or are you ok with how a lot of sellers seem to work in that they leave feedback after you do ?
Thanks for replies guys , i got to run out for a while but its something ive wondered about , whens the right time to leave the feedback , and why.
I have bought a number of things on eBay. I like to see feedback soon after I pay. It seems some sellers are waiting for me to receive the item and leave feedback before the seller leaves feedback. I dont understand that concept. If and when the seller gets paid, thats the end of the buyer's responsibility. Maybe some sellers are so far behind they can't leave feedback right away, I dont know.

But it's not the end of the transaction. IMO, the seller should leave feedback only after it's established that the buyer is happy. If there is an issue with the transaction and the buyer is less than cooperative, the seller may want to note it in the feedback or not leave feedback at all since a negative is no longer an option.

as buyer when item received - it keeps me knowing what has not arrived yet
as seller when item sent - keeps me knowing what payments still due
the new feedback rules kind of make statements worthless unless a seller really screws up
Same here as above for selling. Its a double check for me. As a buyer feedback is left after I receive the item or after payment is refunded in a timely manner. It makes no difference if a seller or buyer does not leave feedback for me.
It still irks me a little when the shipping DSR's gets dinged though. At best on somethings I break even. 90% of the time its a loser money wise. The time for shipment is always the next working day or at worst the 2nd working day if I happen to be working at the main job and cannot get to the Post Office.

Hi Robb , this is what i see a lot of on ebay , the argument that its not the end of the transaction.Thats true to a point , but as far as the buyer is concerned his end is complete.
Why shouldnt the buyer be given the feedback prior to the seller getting thiers ? If the seller sends what the buyer bought there shouldnt and rarely ever is a problem.I think it inspires confidence in a seller to see feedback and shipping notes , too many dont bother leaving a buyer wondering if they are overlooked or forgotten or dealt with yet.
Just as an FYI to those selling on the Bay:
The problem I'm experiencing now is that I've liquidated most of my collection on the Bay and have recieved payment,...but PP won't release the funds untill the buyers leave POSITIVE feedback or 20 something days pass. This is frustrating as I have emailed them and asked for them to do it since I know that they have recieved AND signed for it. The responses I got back were mostly "I buy a lot and don't have time to go right through everything as soon as I get it." This makes me want to hold out and not give feedback untill the money actually clears PP so when they give me this BS I can warn other sellers in the feedback.

In that instance i see your point , i wouldnt suggest leaving feedback if you knew the funds werent cleared , in most instances though when a seller is paid via paypal its instant , he can in fact go spend that same money if so chooses to , thats part of why i fail to see why feedback shouldnt be left when funds clear.
