I guess the question is, how many players ?
<< <i>Jm is doing the coin community a great service with this auction, proceeds going to which charity
a sharp-eyed consignor will reap the reward
<< <i>Who currently owns the two known pieces? Does Mr.HalfDime have one? >>
one in the Southwest and one in the Southeast. MrH10C doesn't have one as far as I know
<< <i>what would a super key, slightly cleaned F30 in Baby Busts bring?

good question on price. I'll just say "we shall see"
As far as how many players, I am sure there are at least a dozen people who need one and may want one badly enough to crack out their checkbooks. As for how many people will be battling it out at the end of the auction, my guess is three to five.
I guess I'd better start saving some of my allowance.
Maybe I could keep the bidding down by announcing that an original bank wrapped roll of them was found in my grandfather's collection.....
Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
<< <i>I will not be a bidder, if that helps. >>
Neither will I, if that helps. I don't think it does
<< <i>Seems like this is the third one found since 2007 I believe, probably wont be an R8 forever! >>
this is the third one known. When #4 is found, it will become R-7. UtahCoin will likely find #4

What if the 4th one were to be a lets say AG raw piece, does that count in the pop? >>
Of course

any 1835 LM-12 is currently a valuable coin. A holed, cleaned, scratched, rim-dinged example would bring serious bids into four figures, IMO

<< <i>Is there a place on the web to assess the characteristics of this die marriage? >>
as a matter of fact, there is!
