Post a Fugio copper. Julianna Rose collection in Baltimore

I found it very touching that Bowers and Merena is auctioning the "Julianna Rose Collection" of Fugio copper. Jilianna is seven years old and lives with autism. The family is selling the collection to help defray the costs associated with autism. As a father of an autistic child, I can sympathize with their situation and am very upset that they have to sell the collection to help financially, although I understand the stress that selling the collection will partly relieve.

If you have a Fugio copper, please post it.

Maybe this wil be a good reason for my wife to allow me to upgrade my fugio

Interesting. The Eliasberg Fugio Silver Restrike in the Julianna Rose Collection used to be in the Midlife Crisis Collection.

I hope all the coins sell very well for the family.

I don't have any Fugios to post but they are very interesting coins, and I hope the collection brings in a lot of money for Julianna. My son used to mentor a 4-year old autistic child for 3 years while he was in college and it sure made a difference in that child's growth that the family was able to afford specialized attention and assistance.

Two of the coins in that collection used to be mine several years ago. I won't be bidding so I hope that they all go for moon money. However, there are some fairly high prices on the coins already ... I wonder if the "current bids" are actually just the required opening bid amount. If so, I have a feeling that a few of those will go unsold. Still, this is a chance for some of you wanting to get into Fugios to pick up some tough varieties that do not come to market very often.

Looking at the auction it's interesting to note, that they have a club ray NGC MS62bn...which is the highest graded club ray I have seen

Question for for more seasoned collectors in the series like Fletcher, BillJones Colonial Coin and Midlife crisis, is this really the finest known?

Absolutely not. However, I believe that it is the highest graded club rays (if you agree with the grade).

Absolutely not. However, I believe that it is the highest graded club rays (if you agree with the grade). >>
