Got the new camera

Finally made the decision and picked up a Canon T1i; what a difference from the point and shoot.
These are some of the first pics using the EFS 18-55mm lens. Since the primary reason for the camera was to shoot coins, I bit the bullet for an L series 100mm macro which should be delivered tomorrow.

The sun was out in the morning so I made use of it. I kind of like the rising sun look on the UHR and Eagle.

I picked out a few coins from the 90% stash (and I'm still trying to figure out if all of them belong there).
The difference between light types is amazing:
Natural light on 1889

Halagon light on 1889; I need to figure out white balance and see if halagon will bring out the same detail (upper lip) when its balanced.

Isn't this called a strike through? "Grease" or something?

This one has a nice die crack that I can see a lot of when held in hand. With this lens it's not well visible but the crack runs about 3/4 around
