What is the lowest highest grade for an issue?

In plenty of series, there is always one top graded piece that is just about perfect, the MS69BN large cent, for example. So, what is the lowest grade for a highest graded US coin? This can be either for a specific date, or an entire series (though I'm more interested in the entire series). Let's say there must be at least 10 graded pieces for the type/date, and not count specific varieties.

Beat me to it. But I think that there are a few other specific coins where no unc ones are known IIRC. Isn't there a 68 Seated dollar known though?

That was going to be my post until I got to the part about 10 graded examples. 1799 large cent is prob a good guess.
Is that like jumbo shrimp?
