Moving all cards from Card Saver II's to Card Saver I's

For more breathing room, and less damage to corners. The extra room is amazing! I was putting is some nice minty 59 Topps BB and was really astounded at the difference. Now what to do with the 2,000 left over Card Saver I's?

I was inspired by some earlier board posts regarding Card Saver II's damaging cards. Some advised against Card Saver I's as well, but I prefer semi rigid over top loaders.

I agree - I like the added room too since I've seen what can happen to corners that get squished - they can stay square but get soft. I also like them in penny sleeves as well to avoid damaging them getting in or out of the CS holder.
Looking for rare Randy Moss rookies and autos, as well as '97 PMG Red Football cards for my set.

I'm just the opposite. I would much rather have my cards in top loaders. I find the CS to be cumbersome to flip through and the edges are a too rough to fit comfortably in my smallish hands (picture the Burger King commercial with the small-hands people. image ). Plus with a 10 month old and a 3 year old running around the house my cards stand a fighting chance at survival if they get ahold of them and they are in top loaders.

Why card savers over the other brands? Is there a difference?
  • Agree, card saver 1's are much better.

For years, I used top loaders and shoe boxes. I started using CS Is when I started subbing cards to PSA.

I guess I still use top loaders sometimes for cards that I know I'll never submit for grading.

Sorry to all the PMers, I found a use for the II's after all, my 75 Topps Minis. They are perfect for them. Plus, I forgot to mention that I'm only about 1/5 of the way through with the conversion, and at my rate, you'd be waiting on them for a long time.

On a related note, I will give a plug to columbiasportscard who has what I think is the best deal on a case of Card Saver I's on ebay. Lighting quick ship too. Came out to just under $11 per 200 ct. box.
