    WOW!!
    Fred

collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.

looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started

  • Hmmm...

Looks like I'm going to have to start saving my money now if I ever expect to finish my T206 set. If I start brown baggin it I'll save about $4/day. 250 days per year makes $1k/year. Given the buyers premium and the sales price I should be golden in around 223 years. Assuming the price doesn't go up in that time of course. Then I can start saving for my Wagner.

Maybe I need to come up with a more aggressive plan or a less ambitous goal.

Currently collecting 1934 Butterfinger, 1969 Nabisco, 1991 Topps Desert Shield (in PSA 9 or 10), and 1990 Donruss Learning Series (in PSA 10).
  • I vote "less ambitious". Right now, im working on a back collection. I wish to have 1 of each of the 15 brand backs. Figure the Drum and Uzit will cost about as much as the other 13 combined. Expensive, yet very attainable!image

Walking is a stretch but biking it is an option. Let's see how that helps: I drive 14 miles to work round trip. I get about 20 MPG. So, in a week I use 3.5 gallons of gas. Somewhere around $10-12 per week depending on gas prices. Figure $500/year savings because it gets damn cold and snowy here in CT so I won't be willing to pedal every day.

I'm up to $1500/year which cuts down my wait to around 149 years.

I can practically see the card in my hands already!!!
