Probably the same as every other card of every other future hall of famer in any sport. Cards reach their peak when the player is hot. Cool off in the latter part of his career. Heat up a little when he retires. Prices even out until HOF election. Then they peak again. Then they flatten out for eternity.

Really? So 1952 Topps Mantles have been stagnant in pricing since the 1970's? Interesting.
i don't think he's finished having great seasons or winning Super Bowls.....his value will rise if he approaches the accomplishments of someone like Montana or Elway, and he seems to be fairly durable....i think the most interesting possibility would be if he wound up with another team a few more years from now, but i just can't envision him in anything but a Colts jersey.
My opinion... unless they are cut autos of someone that is no longer living they will never hold a solid value.
Payton Manning is what maybe 30, He will sign thousands of cards until he's no longer with us. I'm a hockey fan... Wayne Gretzky is my favorite player. How many cards no you think he signs a year for UD. I don't care if they're #/10. UD Gretzky auto's can be had for around a $100 give or take.
I would not don't tie up all your money in auto's and game used. I can't see how you will ever make money from them. Collect them if you want them to collect but don't look at it for investment.
OLD IS GOLD
Trying to climb the 1954-55 Topps Hockey ladder for the second time.

Excuse me Douchey McDouchester. I thought he was referring to a modern player.

I wonder if kids said that when they were opening packs in the 1950's
