Littleton - just received my 2010 Silver Eagle
Ok - so by now we all know that Littleton offered up to three Silver Eagles for a decent price. Then they decided, I think almost illegally, to cancel all except for one for each customer....
Ok so I received my single Eagle today along with the option to buy another one at....get this..... $32.50!!!!!!
Wow, so you go against your offer to begin with and then you want to charge me DOUBLE for the same thing?!?! Amazing!

As an ebay seller, I can't see anthing about ebay that makes one more likely to be a scammer by association. --Jerry

note the word "some"
I didn't see the one about the Silver Eagles nor have I seen all of the details stated in the ad. I do know however all the ads I do see about ANY bullion offered always comes with the right to cancel or change price due to market conditions. I have never bought from Littleton nor have any reason to defend or convict them, but before the posters here burn them at the stake it would be nice to scan and post the exact ad the OP is referring to. If it doesn’t have the normal market conditions disclaimer or the “additional coins for approval” quote then by all means flame away.
Here's a coin. (Not Littleton)
<< <i>I recieved 5 in 2004 at thier cost, of course they said they would send approvals that were way over priced. I put the approvals in the pre-paid envolope they provided and said cancel. Got the 04 eagles and never looked back and they never bothered me again. >>
Same here, still have the 5 Eagles. Seems like they were 8.95.
<< <i>Where were these advertised? >>
For me it was an ad in the part of the paper one would normally throw away. All 12 DC & US territories in unc @ 4.95 caught my eye as id sent the complete set to my nephew last year and this was a perfect update for him.
spend the next three years trying to cancel the on approval items that come every month like
clock work. Trust me on this, no item coin, book or record is ever worth the heartache of trying
to get your name removed from the system. It will generally cost you more money then any amount
you save on the first purchase. In all fairness though, Littleton usually pay top price for coins, however,
they demand that the coins be at the very top of their grade before they will buy.
