Anyone recommend a good scale for weighing coins?

I would like to buy a decent scale to weigh coins and also weigh scrap gold. What are some better brands that you recommend? Also, what do you recommend for accuracy? 0.1 grams? 0.01 grams? 1.0 gram? etc. I thought I saw a scale in the ANA catalog a while back. Has anyone bought that one?

Do not transport a digital scale around in your automobile, if stopped for a common violation, GungHo cop might arrest you for possessing of drug paraphernalia.

As they are cuffing you and putting you in the back of the squad car...."But officer, I use that scale to weight Morgan Dollars!" "Sure buddy...watch your head there."

    Funny, but probably true...

Standard digital scale I think would be the way to go...Donato

If you are buying scrap gold, you better get a very accurate one

If you are not going to be moving it - you can probably get an older Mettler scale on the cheap that gpes to mg

If you go to your local head shop you can purchase one for cheap. I paid $14.99 for mine.

You will not get into any trouble for carrying digital scales around with you or in your car, unless there is any illegal drug residue on the scales! image That's a different story
