At the Blackhawk Hotel. Davenport, Iowa. August 17-21. And that was after a moratorium in 1945 due to WWII. Now, what did I win ?

I stayed in that hotel in 1987, was woking on the northern Iowa university domed football stadium

Davenport, Iowa is a nice town...the home town of Bix Beiderbecke. The Blackhawk Hotel is being overhauled and looks great I'm told.
