I just signed up for a VCP account last month... not sure how I've survived without it all this time.

    Excellent info for any collector!

I just signed on for a year membership about a week ago - sour grapes I missed the specialimage
  • You can add up to 5 more years at the special rate.

  • << <i>I understand that upon membership expiration I will be billed $179.90 on a yearly basis unless I click "Cancel Membership" on my account page. >>

Can you then cancel right away to only get a single year subscription without forgetting and then wondering how $179.90 appeared on 2011 credit card bill?

  • Not sure what you are asking but if your membership is a Yearly now and do to be charged on for example 3/13/10 and you add a Year now with the special. You will not be charged again until 3/13/11 and that will be at the usual rate of $179.90

Simply put I was asking if you could get away without the auto-renew feature.
  • What we do for Yearly members now is a week before they are due to be charged they get this email notice.

    Dear ||username||,

This is a reminder that your account at vintagecardprices.com will expire in one week. We will be charging your account and please make sure that your current credit card on file is up to date.

Please visit your account page to make any necessary changes here:

    Sincerely,

So you will be told in advance that you are going to be billed again and if you would like you could cancel. Or you could just sign up now and then cancel your account the same day and you won't get charged again as well.
  • just went from monthly to 3 year pre-paid... Bobby you gotta get more credit card choices than visa/mastercard ... that's the one the wife sees... image

How far along are you with 1990+ in sales tracking? Thought you'd be live by now....

I'm glad you are doing this now. Back in September I had my membership renewal and I forgot than it was already 1 year since the renewal and I was charged on my credit card. I would of probably sign up for another year anyways because I like the service but I like to evaluate each year the options that I can pick.

Me 2. After talking about the website many times my wife just recently bought a 1 year membership for me.
Now instead of thinking it will help me save money I feel $40 down the drain.image

Plus I would be afraid to add extra years because I think technology based info is domed to lower and lower price availabilty in the future.

Oh well that's just the way it goes...............

    Hi Bobby,

How close is going live with the 1990+ sets?

    Thanks!

If you "lock in" the rate today for 5 years, do we pay all 5 years up front or just pay the current sale price annually?

With the changes coming soon to Ebay combining core fixed price and store fixed price listings, the VCP will either become a more valuable and accurate tool in valuing cards by recording all fixed price sales of graded cards, or it will become less valuable by recording even less sales data if the decision is made to no longer record any fixed price sales. Presently only core fixed priced sales are tracked due to the sheer volume of fixed priced sales which occur in the stores. With the two now mixed will the decision be made to eliminate the collection of all fixed price sales data?
  • We are not eliminating the fixed or BIN sales date or have no plans to, a lot of that depends on how accessible eBay makes that data available to us to retrieve.

The special is a one time payment and does not lock you into a price for the next 5 years.
  • I forgot to say this Special is going to be running for 2 weeks only so the last day to add time is 2/9/10
