Has anybody heard of FGA grading?

A buddy of mine has a whole bunch of 1940's cards that are graded mint 9 and gem mint 10 from this company. The cards look too good and I think might be reprints. Can a grading company actually graded reprints as authentic?

    Your question assumes that it is a grading company. I ended up with a few 1963 Bazooka singles in these holders that were not authentic but were graded as such.

    FGA=Forget Gauranteed Authentic? I've seen a lot of basement grading companies on the Bay. Unfortunately, there are some buyers that don't do enough research. Good on you for asking questions.

    I'll guess they were 1947 Bond Bread. I'll also say with a high degree of confidence that they were fake.
    FGA seemed to specialize in slabbing fakes of some oddball vintage issues.

    It would seem that a more accurate description would be to realize that the grading companies' initials are more of an anagram

    Is this the company that was banned on ebay for grading fakes?

    Hard to prove anything. Who knows?

    Maybe there are some fakes but the one that i have in my slab is an original.

    Maybe there are some fakes?

    When Steve Bloedow, Bob Lemke, and Steve Taft all speak about the same thing, I listen.

    FGA wasn't even a legitimate attempt at a grading company. It was started for the sole purpose of slabbing its owners' creations.

    FGA is the only "grading" company expressly prohibited on SportsBuy.
