1971 Lee Maye-Too frosty?

Does this holder look kind of suspicious? Looks kind of frosty on the right side to me.

1971 Maye
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

I see fingerprints down the right side. Not sure why anyone would crack out a $25 card.

It's more like a $250-$300 card. One of the toughest in that set.

I've never seen a legit holder look like that. It could very well be okay, but it sure raises red flags for me.

  • Raises flags with me also. Seems way off center for an 8. And the frost looks suspect IMO.

  • Looks fine to me... S/S centering is great, T/B could be better.

If you are thinking about buying it; it comes with a 7 day money back gaurantee so if the case looks cracked then get your money back.

The holder looks tampered with to me. Those don't look like fingerprints to me, more like what happens when a screwdriver pries apart a PA holder. Just my two cents.

The holder scares me. It's frosty most of the way around the holder and there appear to be a lot of scratches along the top. I've seen worse looking 8s from the '71 set but you never know if someone slipped in a card that was deemed trimmed or miscut. I've never had a problem with the seller but I think he consigns. So you never know where the card came from.
  • That holder does not look right at all.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
