I have an slabbed Indian cent that looks a lot like that. I bought it because of the toning and submitted it myself. Since then, I've come to suspect it's AT, although I don't know for sure.

I think MS-70 was behind quite a few blue proof Indian Cents not too long ago.

I sold a batch of high-grade Jeffs a while ago that had amazing neon blue toning.
The owner confessed the coins had spent decades in those old hard (PVC?) flips.
You know the ones that look like they have a fake rope frame around the 2 x 2?

Are you saying that this coin would not be graded if submitted raw today?

By the looks of the slab (note it's a white pronged slab), I'd say it was slabbed recently (not necessarily yesterday, but recently).

How the h*ll did this get in a holder?

See the first set of parenthesis in the above sentence. I really doubt that would have made it into a clear plastic slab.

    I'll come up with something.

    As a follow up......

Does MS70 continue to accelerate a coin's coloring to an eventually fugly, dark color, or will it settle down and stay more or less this blue color (I don't call color on an AT'd coin toning, I call it color).
    I'll come up with something.

Looks like hundreds of other blue toned copper in PCGS and NGC slabs on the market today......?

Now they are all labeled MS70, and while some probably got the color from that....probably many more did not. Since nobody can prove which ones have been treated (unless they did the job themselves).....I would say each individual collectors needs to decide for themselves if they like them or not.

Personally I have no problem with blue copper....I think they are quite attractive and I am unwilling to throw the baby out with the bath water just becuase some folks don't like them image

I wouldn't necessarily 'throw the baby out....' either. I would consider it for a Dansco, but I would not consider paying any kind of premium for it. One thing I never said was that I didn't like it. Hence my question about it's possibly accelerating to a darker color.
    I'll come up with something.

I have a roll of 1983 (P) nickels that came in a plastic wrapper from the bank. The two end coins are blue.
