What would you do??

Over the past few years I have been buying raw vintage cards (this was before I became aware of all the problems with trimming, recoloring...) I have purchased every Mantle card from his playing days except the 52 Topps, 53 Topps and 53 Bowman. (still working on those) My 51 Bowman is graded by PSA so I know it is unaltered. I have measured every card many times and they all measure what they are supposed to. I see no signs of recolorization either Some have rounded corners or slight creases but were picked up cheap at either shows, ebay, or cards stores. I have no intention of ever selling them. Right now I am considered each of them unaltered and real.
My question: Is is worth getting them graded with the chance that they might come back trimmed or altered or would you keep them with the thought in your head that they are good. again I will never sell them, I would like piece of mind but do not want the let down of them coming back bad from PSA. What would you do?

<< <i>I would grade them and if any are supposedly trimmed or what not, just have them authenticated so they are still in a slab. >>
I agree with this.
At the very least, its whats best to protect the cards
WTB: PSA 1 - PSA 3 Centered, High Eye Appeal 1950's Mantle
Anyway, I sent it in and it came back a PSA 4.
Now that I've written this, i'm realizing that I don't really have a point to my story that will help you... i say send them in and tell them no QF's and mark as Authentic if they do. Sounds like you've got a pretty cool collection of cards there. Send us some scans when you get it done.
If you don't mind viewing a stack of holders, then I would say - send them in - if some come back altered - then you have their opinion to consider.
If you never plan on selling and enjoy viewing in binders - I say - leave them the way they are and let your assumption stand - that they're unaltered.
Good luck if you plan on submitting them.

Based on those 2 reasons I would keep them raw.
For pure enjoyment I think holding a nice Ex or even VG vintage card is awesome !

If it is more than the costs, than it makes sense to send them in
If it is less than the costs, leave them as they are
Can't think of any other possible answer
