Auction disappointment

And I haven't even seen the coins yet, actually that's the disappointment. I called Heritage to check on the lots I won in the Jan. 3 auction since it's been two weeks and I haven't seen them yet. They haven't even shipped yet. image

This is an area that Heritage needs some improvement on. It's been my one and only complaint with their operation.

They take a long time to ship (and even longer to pay consignments).

There are three areas they need improvment on. The third is auction pictures.

They seem to ship banknotes quicker than coins in my experience. I bought a banknote in the banknote auction that has shipped and is waiting at my post office but the doors are barricaded. But the coins, they show up as paid for but who knows whence they shall have shipped.

Someone must have read the thread, I just received an e-mail that the shipment went out.

and even longer to pay consignments

I'm curious about this comment because I have consigned to Heritage numerous times over the years and they have always paid me on time. Yes, they do wait until the last possible day of the 45-day period to mail me my check but they state that right up front so I can plan on it. If they're taking longer than 45 days to mail you a check, I would certainly complain to them about it.

45 days is too long IMO.

I talked to them and explained I was going to Zurich next week, and needed the coins in before I left. I got an email a few minutes ago they had shipped Fedex.

I'm with Wybrit on the payment terms, 45 days is way to long.

Business unfortunately, have to meet with a small oil company for a couple of days, then up to Aberdeen for a day of meetings. I don't even have time to go visit coin shops or museums.

Well the first batch from the 3 January auction made it today, still waiting for the pieces from the 11 Jan. auction. I'm a happy camper, they look better in hand than the auction photos.
