NEED YOUR HELP...PLEASE READ!!! NEW UPDATE

I know that this is way off topic. If any of you have any contact in Haiti please PM me on here. I have friends there and our mission team is on the ground in a mountain region near the epicenter of the quake. Please pray! It's a mess down there and no one is sure what's happening.

Very sad - this is a country without the infrastructure to handle this kind of disaster!

My prayers go out to all the people there - America is one of the most generous countries on the planet.

  • We've been up through the night and today taking shifts on contacting via all sources of communication including radio. We still have not heard from our group. Earlier the media comfirmed that they were okay and then the state department said that it was not true. No confirmation has been made. Our Senator's and Congressmen are working to get us information though. Please continue to pray and I will update you as I hear more.
I want to thank the Mod's for not erasing this thread. I appreciate your willingness to leave this up and allow me to use this as another source for information. Thank you.
  • Just wanted to let everyone know that we heard from our team this afternoon. Everyone is okay. However, two individuals from Haiti that were working with our group died when the building they were in collapsed on them. Thanks to everyone who prayed and sent good thoughts their way. Please continue to pray for Haiti. The word on the ground from our contact was literally, "All of us are okay, but this place is a nightmare come true."
Our team is going to stay in the village for another week or two to help with the situation. They said that most of the devastation is in Port au Prince. Most of the countryside is actually okay. There's too much more information to share and I don't want to abuse the fact that the mods have left this thread alone. So I will say that if you want to know anything else just PM me.
    Thanks again everyone.
