<< <i>First off, I owe a huge thanks to Felicia, PoppaJ, and Steve for insights shared over the past year around the 1952 Topps Mantle, sellers they've transacted with, and tell-tale signs of fakes. I learn new things all the time in this forum related to vintage, and I have so many of you to thank for that.
I've been researching, watching, and learning about the '52 Mantle for the past year and have been waiting for the right opportunity. It finally presented itself recently, and I wanted to share with you guys.
I ended up purchasing Cohocorp's remaining PSA 4 Mantle which I'm thrilled with. It took quite a while to get the deal finished given the price negotiations, paypal, shipping issues, reholdering, etc, but I was really impressed with Pat's honesty and level of professionalism throughout the process.
I'm very excited to finally have one. This is one card I will enjoy for a long, long time. Maybe someday I can pass it down to my new son.

I am glad it worked out ok. The post office did their best to mess things up. It took somewhere around 17 days to reach you with me sending it registered/priority mail. Of course their tracking system wasnt being updated during the journey either.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Yeah, the one time I've ever had an issue with USPS, it happens with THIS card. I think the card had been sitting at that central hub for over a week before I went down and had them scour the place for it. Fortunately, it all worked out in the end.
Very nice card with great eye appeal. Am sure from one of my posts that you saw my 53 I got but would really love to have this card someday. Very big congrats...Enjoy.

I passed on that card in the early years and will probably never own it now - if something drastically changes - CU will be the first to know!
I think it's a sweet 4 - and I'd be proud to own it dan.
Thanx for sharing.
