Wanted to introduce myself

Hi Guys-
My name is Todd, and I am new to the boards. I collect mainly AFL Chargers memorabilia and autographed AFL sets (1960-1969 Fleer and Topps). I also have a comprehensive autographed Chargers team set collection from 1960-2009, of which I am missing only one signed card out of nearly 800. If anyone has a signed 1960 Fleer Dick Chorovich, please let me know! Also interested in signed AFL cards for my sets. Hope all is well with everyone, and I look forward to interacting with you all on the boards.

I'm also a big Chargers (and Padres) collector. I've got every Charger card (well, except for stuff like Golden Tulips, Coke caps and Dairy Lids) from 1960 to the mid-1990s.
Don't have very many autographs from the AFL days, but sure wish I did!
There are plenty of friendly people here, and a few not so friendlys...don't let them bother you, they're harmless!

I love the AFL Era, look forward to more of your posts.
Paul
Topps White Out (silver) letters Alex Gordon
80 Topps Greg Pryor “No Name"
90 ProSet Dexter Manley error
90 Topps Jeff King Yellow back
1958 Topps Pancho Herrera (no“a”)
81 Topps Art Howe (black smear above hat)
91 D A. Hawkins BC-12 “Pitcher”
The one missing card is just something that I have not yet found. Dick Chorovich played one year with the Chargers, and died in 1997. I will find one eventually, but I have been working on this collection since 1998 and haven't found one yet!

Steve - Do you have any of the 1960s Chargers White Border team issued cards? Roughly 5"x8" in size? I have a large collection of these that I like. There is no decent checklist on these cards, and occassionally I will find ones that I previously did not know existed.

I have 11 of the 1962 Union Oils, including Alworth and Kemp autographed. I also have 43 or so of the 1966 White Borders, including 11 that are not listed in Beckett.
I just sent you a PM (the "new message(s)" icon in the upper left corner of your screen, below the Collectors Universe logo).

Just wanted to officially welcome you to the boards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
Anyone with tennessee in there user name or Ric Flair in their sigline is ghey.

I would be careful there....the other Four Horsemen has his back.

If you're into auto'd cards, do a search for "TTM". There you will find some INSANE "through the mail" autograph collections that I'm sure you would enjoy.

The Union Oils are very nice. I have all that I know exist, 16 in total. All are autographed except Don Norton and Charlie McNeil.
Beckett is somewhat behind the curve in their knowledge of white borders. They were issued from 1964-1967 or 1968, and have many different players and bio or blank-backed variations. In total I think that I have around 170, with all of the known team cards, weight lifting pictures and action shots.
I also like the Golden Tulips. I have 10 or 12 of them, but sadly no Kemp.
I am a big Lance Alworth fan, and have a number of different and rare pieces of his.
Most AFL Chargers-type of stuff greatly interests me, photos, cards, programs, and other memorabilia.

Welcome to the boards. My uncle and cousin live in SD and are huge Chargers fans (just like everyone else in SD) He has his own Chargers "Room" with recent players autographs and generic memorabilia. Very cool.

Can't wait to see some scans of your collection. Sounds impressive -- even if they are of Chargers...
