Question for the legal minded

What if the 1933 Saint are ruled legal to own because the Government can't prove them to be stolen,

Would this be grounds to own a 1964 peace dollar since the mint may have allowed mint employees a 1 to 1 exchange.

Then asked all the 1964 dollars to be returned.

If, just if one or more were kept and there fore not stolen would that ruling apply to the 1964 peace dollars.

Would that be too logical?

If the 1933 DE are deemed to be legal to own, does the Govt owe any compensation to those that have had theirs confiscated?

Follow the Switt plan, wait for the witnesses to all die, then let your heirs profit.

Funny, this questions always comes up when someone is "offered" to buy a 1964 Peace Dollar. Been there done that, it came with the same story of how it was smuggled out, and of course upon inspection it was a fake.

So, someone out there is trying to take advantage of the 1933 Saint case to try to get someone to purchase the 1964 upon the presumption they will be legal one day, when the fact is they are selling a fake.
