coin conservation

I have an ebay auction (not mine) of a 1964 pr69cam quarter with a tan spot. I own several that are spotted just like this . Is this a canadite for the PCGS grade gaurantee or will they do conservation (dip) to bring the coin back to par ? ebay auction # 320461866746 (on reverse)

I personally don't see this coin being a 69 and would say it would be realistic to send in for the PCGS grade gaurantee. As for 'conservation' I have never seen these spots removed successfully.

Your costs to send it into PCGS will be approx as follows:

$30 for service plus $8 service fee, $5 postage and insurance to ship tonyhem and. Whopping $17.60 from
PCGS back to you. That's a whopping $60! Just drop your price and sell the damn thing. That's my advice.

Ira doesn't say a lot around here, but with as direct an answer as you've received, I'd say run with his advice.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
