newbie sellers

Regarding a certain (former) BST thread. Not to bash on newbie sellers, but why is there always one or two every year who believe they can sell "expensive" raw coins on the BST without any decent references?

They are simply leveraging a new found resource and have no constructs about who we are and what the coins are really worth. They check the PCGS price guide and figure their coin is worth something east of the first column, and therefore shoot for that without a clue they are doing anything wrong or dumb. Ignorance is bliss.

How do you know they don't have "decent references"? Have you asked them all? My feedback total on Ebay is a whopping 10, so a number of Ebayers think I don't do any coin business or know about coins.

FTR though... what, exactly, DO you know about coins? Could you sum it up in a sentence? image

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
