Another Ebay Best Offer Question

I decided to try out the Ebay Best Offer option on my auctions and am slightly confused about the best way to do it. If someone submits an offer that I reject is there any way to show in the auction what the highest offer is that has been submitted? I have been getting several offers at lower numbers than one's I have already rejected and wanted to keep that from happening. But I also didn't want to use the auto reject feature because on some of my VAM coins I have no real idea of value. I know Heritage has something similar and they keep the highest offer shown on the auction.

Any comments or recommendations would be appreciated.

Cut and paste the section in the offer history right into your Ad with a note saying, if you are not higher than this, don't bother.

I tried to do that as soon as I received an offer, but I got this message: "You have pending offers on this listing. You can edit only some of the fields until you respond to these offers. Please review your offers." I tried it again on an auction with an offer that I had declined and it workedimage

    Thanks!

theres a way when you list the coin with a "best offer" option to "automatically reject bids lower than....
you can set the bid that you want automatically rejected...
may the fonz be with you...always...

If the offer doesn't appease you , the simple choice is to decline the offer. No explanation is due.

I decided tio start selling again and skipped the best offer option

and have been going with mostly 30 day BIN's

I didn't want to mess with rejecting offers all day
or deciding where to start the price at

(do you jack the price 20% ?)

I did let someone buy an item for 20% off (as I did not know a good start price)
but it has been a week and still no payment

I guess I won't do that again - maybe I will tell the guy when the 30 days is up, I will list it at their price
  • I have accepted quite a few best offers and have always been paid quickly. I think it has more to do with the person than the way they purchase the coin. No matter what the coin is, I always determine my lowest price acceptable and put in a number to automatically reject. To many jokers who like to offer $1 just to pass the time.

Use the auto-reject option. It's the only way to go and you don't need to waste any of your time on frivolous offers. Simple as that!
  • Never auto-reject. Always counter and try to open a dialogue that could lead to future business.
