Thanks, OneCent! Your memory serves you well. The 17d was in a Heritage auction awhile back. My registry set has zero reds. Its called Pennies From Heaven. Way down the list though at number 74 or something.
Actually, I believe that 1910 is woodgrain toned - 1910 did produce some woodgrain toned Lincolns. And your 1910 is a pretty bold example of the poorly mixed alloys. I personally think it's pretty neat looking, gives the coin lots of character!

I am 98% sure I alomost bought that 1955 in baltimore. If it is the same coin ,witch I think it is, its truely a stunning coin.
