Question about dropping metal prices

Will this play a roll in when the mint will release the 2010 bullion material?

I could see the mint holding off releasing the silver eagles for some time. Not the 1st of Janurary as before.

How do you see this?

    IMHO, the current modest price drop is just profit-taking and adjustment of EOY portfolios by the big players.

    Well since they aren't making these out of paper then why delay. It's not like the spread between paper and physical silver isn't rising. Your still paying north of $20 each for them right now.

    The mint sell direct to a small number distributers at spot + .
    They in turn sell to dealers at spot + (mint sur charge) + (thier profit)

    Will the mint wait untill silver is at a certain $ amt.?

    The mint doesn't care about profit, they are playing with OPM (other people's money).

    the blank shortage will play a role in movig release dates.

    the mint is most likely not into gaming price movements.

    they'll sell to make a profit dependant on available supply/demand, same as always. i assume the only thing that would cause a delay is a big spike either way.

    I think its a tempory drop.
    Its time for a little profit taking, thats all.
