  Actually last week the first krugerand popped up.

  Very cool. I had a 2008 Silver Eagle I used as a pocket piece for a short time awhile back until I figured out I didn't like carrying a pocket piece It went in a Kettle earlier this week. Not quite a $20 gold though!!!!

  i always wondered why people dropping gold coins in wouldn't just save the hassle of valuing and selling the gold and put in real money... Seems like a nice gesture, but come on.

  In any case, the donation is certainly for a good cause, and there is another 30% donation, in effect, being made to the national debt.
