Mint Last Opportunity Sale Jefferson Dollars, etc. Anyone Buying?

Just curious, is anyone buying any of the Jeff or Madison rolls - or anything else - from the Mint's Last Opportunity sale?

Edit: To answer the question, no I won't be buying any of these items.
too bad there is not a price break for the "last opportunities"
i use them as give-a-ways in my business.
<< <i>IMO, the 'last opportunity' stuff is the "oh crap we have too much of these lets make them appear R@RE". >>
The US Mint does not give one hoot about rarity and does everything it can to avoid producing "rarities". This is one of many reasons they did not produce the 2009-W Proof Eagles in minute quantities. This is also the reason they do the "1 per household limit" on limited mintage and highly "anticipated" coins, to afford everyone the opportunity to purchase them on not just a select few enterprising modern flippers who will buy as many as they can get their hands on to control the market!
The Last Chance sale is actually a good opportunity for those folks who always intended to buy some of this stuff but just never got around to it.

I picked up the MVB and AJ 1st spouse bronze medals for the same reason.

Lee I agree in part, but I'd have to say the 09 Plat is one that goes against your reasoning. Pre-announced 8000 mintage and a five coin limit. Speculators scooped them up, no matter how many collectors want the next 5 in the series only 8000 complete sets will be (theoretically) possible. The Mint, IMO, has capped the demand for future year sales, except for folks that just want a single year coin. Possible if there are some nice designs I suppose.

Platinum typically has low mintages anyway so there's nothing really new here and if a fellow wants one, he'll be able to find one and not pay to hefty of a premium.
Now if they'd capped the 2009 Proof SAE's at 8,000, I might agree with you but certainly not platinum.
