I'm checking Kennedy Half mintage and....

..I see in the pro edition Red Book that for 2006 D it is ..2 mil..is that correct..??........That would make it less than the 70 D half in the Mint Sets...even though the 2006 D's weren't released for circulation as the 70 D...That woul make it the ..Second..lowest next to the 2008 mints which state each of 1.7 mil...

Whether this total includes Satin Finish coins or not, I do not know but the figure has the exact same weight as what was reported for the 2006 production.

Since 1999 mint set totals are reported separately from circulation totals.
Since the satin finished were produced differently and the services are designating them as "SP" and "SMS", and the Redbook separated the mintages; perhaps they'll be considered different from the business strikes in the future.

This appliwes to all mint set coins but only since 1999.
<< <i>Since the Redbook separates SP and MS, and the services have as well, I'm wondering if the album companies will create separate spots in their albums for SP and MS coins? >>
One would expect there would be enough demand for this.
I'm actually surprised it doesn't already exist. Perhaps there will be more demand if the SF set becomes a closed set next year.
I expect that Satin Finish Short Sets will start cropping up if SF goes away.
