Did it snow in downtown Livermore? Those pictures all look like shots from the surrounding hills and/or the Altamont Pass.
There was no snow and hardly any rain in the South Bay.

Yes, those pictures were taken on the road going towards Del Valle. Usually when it snows on the hills it hits them up high (mount hamilton or mt. diablo) but never any hills IN Livermore. It dusted all the hills.
Here is a better view showing about where the snow levels were:
Here is a view from my bedroom window (that hill is maybe only 400-800 above sea level) and all the surrounding hills look the same:
I woke up this morning only to walk outside and find myself in a winter wonderland in the East Bay. My home is at about 200-300' elevation in the East Bay hills. I thought I was in Tahoe. The slopes of Mt. Diablo were covered from top to bottom this morning and about 30 minutes ago about 85% of the mountain is still white.
Very unusual to see this much snow in the SF Bay Area, especially down close to sea level.
Got about a foot of heavy wet snow here in West Michigan today. I got my car stuck in my driveway and had to shovel it out. I ordered snow tires but they won't be here until Thursday.
I live 10 or 15 miles east (i.e., toward the Bay) of Skyman and SanctionII, and pretty far to the north of WTCG, and we had no snow near my house. Good thing, too! If I loved the stuff, I wouldn't have moved to California from upstate NY and New England!

Auburn is at about 1,000' in elevation (though I recall your place is higher in altitude). It rarely snows in Auburn and your pics show an amount of snow that is more likely seen at the 3000'+ elevation after a strong winter storm. I bet lots of folks in your neighorhood had trouble driving around town today.
Just rain all afternoon, pretty heavy at times, here in Vegas. But, it's 37.9 degrees in back yard at the moment and still raining. Should have precipitation all night so, we'll see what it's like in the A.M.
bob PS: knocked me off the internet for 9 hours, lousy rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of my neighbors didn't go or even attempt to go anywhere today as the total represents about 4 years worth of accumulation in a single night. I expected the typical 1/2 to 1 inch of accumulation and was shocked upon arising this morning!
My driveway is about an 1/8 of a twisting mile with about a forty foot elevation increase and with 9 inches of powdery sunshine grinding under your wheels, you quickly go , what was I thinking!!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

(Or at least the last time I remember it was about 15 years ago...)
I wonder whether they required chains over Altamont? That would have caused some serious havoc.

Along with no power from 4:00am to about 2:00pm.
Tried to navigate the driveway but ended up getting stuck on the way back up!
Here's some snow for ya!
