<< <i>I've only used the Sigma 105 and 180mm lenses... so I can't participate
It'll pretty much be the same thing. Post some coins!

It is easy to switch back and forth with all of these lenses without dismounting the camera from the copy stand. The 150mm is so big that you need to mount it from the lens, not the camera so it would be a bit of a pain to go back and forth.

<< <i>I've looked at a 150 from time to time. I use the 60 and 100mm canon USM macros. I shoot a lot for ebay so I sometimes even use the cheap zoom lens that came with the camera to shoot a layout of several slabs to show the total coinage in the auction.

Well, good news for me is I don't yet have a copy stand to have trouble with. Lmao.
But, I'm probably making my own, so maybe I can put a hinge in it so I can flip the camera up so it's horizontal for lens changes....

And my personal favorite macro shot:

Lens changes are no problem in the normal position. Don't put a hinge, you'll lose rigidity and alignment. What I was complaining about is the need to remount the camera/lens assembly to a different point--that spur on the side of the lens, that's a 1/4-20 mount just like on the bottom of the camera but near the center of gravity of the camera/lens assembly. Good luck holding that behemoth still for any shots before you get a stand. --Jerry

<< <i> And it still is crisp at that large size.
-Paul >>
It isn't an enlargement of the original which would lead to loss of crispness. that is the original size.

I know, I'm just floored at the clarity of everything. It looks like this could help me identify VAMS in my collection easier than looking through a magnifying glass.

If you're going to do that, you'd zoom in, first
