I think PCGS would call them RB today, but who knows about a month from now?

On the right wheat? Looks like a lamination.
I was negotiating the V.D.B as I loved it (it was in a large group of type coins) when a collector/dealer I knew walked up to the same table. I knew Lincoln's were in his wheel house. I showed him that coin and he gave me the green light. An hour later I noticed he was set up and I stopped by to show him the whole group of coins I purchased. He then proceeds to pull out the 1909 out of his back stash. He says, " I have the sister to your coin." I bought it without hesitation. MJ

Yes, on the right wheat. But since it's raised, it's a crack.

Thanks Shamika, eyesight's fading fast.
I failed to mention; MJ, beautiful coins!
best color and the fairest price.
You have the "Bears Growl of approval".
Well done indeed.

I also think they would grade RB today.

I have no clue anymore. I was comforted on the 1909 that it was in the same owners hands since it was graded RD in 1995 and hasn't turned .000001% in that time. In 1995 PCGS thought it was RD. In 2009 I don't know what they would think ???
I loved them at first sight

This whole RB vs RD thing is pretty annoying. But, sadly, it matters at resale. Take a look at these two S-VDB's of mine. The first PCGS calls a 65RB (graded in late 2008). NGC graded it 65RD before I moved it to PCGS.
The second is a slightly older graded 65RD I bought recently. Gimme a break. There's a $2,000 price difference.
Sorry my photos aren't as nice as yours. I'm just a hack.
