I Lost my Grandmother Last Night..I just wanted to say..

Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Norwood Crossing in Chicago that cared for her. I especially want to Thank Mike (BoSox) who is the director at the facility that cared for my grandmother. She was more like a mother to me, she raised me for many years while I was in chicago, long night talks, mid morning breakfasts, and especially all the laughing and crying we did together as I grew up.
She was a vibrant woman full of life, but today she is in a better place.
I recieved a phone call around 1pm yesterday, I jumped on the first plane I could get, unfortunatly when I arrived in chicago last night, I was a little to late as she passed at 6:45pm. I went to the home and saw her resting peacefully, God had called her home.
Later today I will go back to the home and begin the process of clearing out her room.
Mike, I just wanted to say thank you, to you and your wonderful staff, my Grandmother really lived out her last few years on this earth in a wonderful place. While I realize it is the staff that has the day to day contact with her and makes the facility go on a daily basis. The staff gets their lead from the top. It starts with you, and for that I thank you, you are a wonderful man.
I hope you have some time today to stop by so I can thank you once again in person.

Please accept my heartfelt sorrow for you and your family in your grandmother's passing.
It sounds like she was the perfect granny!
A spiritual candle will be lit in memory of your grandmother tomorrow at my church. Would you mind telling me her 1st name? If not, that's okay ... I can just say Felicia's grandmother.
My prayers are especially for you, that God will keep you strong and grant you peace of heart.
God bless you,
PoppaJ
