Houston Show Report and NEWP

The Money Show of the Southwest opened today in Houston. I arrived a bit early to set up my exhibit then met with RCToners to drop off some coins for him to photograph. Chris and Donna seem like very decent folks, in spite of being from "North of Dallas". The dealers seemed to be milling about pretty well before opening and I got to meet several that I have not met in person before. I was also the first retail customer for three dealers so I felt like I got their shows off to a start.
"She who shall not be named" was there. And I must say it was a pleasant experience, she say's "Hey" Bear. Although she was on the phone when I walked up she nodded and said hello, we chatted for a couple of minutes after she got off the phone, I can see where people would think she is business like, but I found her pleasant enough.
Also met the good folks from Angel Dee's, a very charming gentleman with a very nice assortment of copper. I was looking for an inexpensive Proof Indian Cent for my proof type set (I tend to spend most of my money on world coins), and he was able to charm my checkbook out of my pocket and sent me home with this 1905 in PF65 RB, with some very nice color which I can't photograph well. It even came with an Eagle Eye photoseal.

The others were all darkside so I won't bore you with them. I'll be back at the show Saturday AM and try to get an idea of how the show went for the dealers in attendance.
