NewP 1809 10c True View and a "Thank You" to abitofthisabitofthat

image

I was looking for a higher grade but after this summer, this PO 01 grade is just perfect. "Ain't she just the purdiest thing you ever saw" image This one is a keeper, with a POP of just 1/60 and is already in my registry type set.

I have to send out a Thank You to "Chris @ Somerset Hills Coin. aka abitofthisabitofthat for selling this coin on BST at a fair price and to PCGS for the CC Quartely Special which is how I had this graded this quarter. Total cost with from start to finish with the True Views under $200. This one was fun. I feel like I did as a kid in the 60's when I would find a Indian Head Cent in my change to fill a hole in my folder.

Even with all the hype and price spike of the 1809 dimes this past summer abitofthisabitofthat could have easily asked more. But in the true spirit of a real collector and a honest dealer he sold it without getting greedy and DID NOT take part in the lets make as much and as quick a buck now before the hype dies down atmosphere.

Thanks Chris and PCGS for keeping the fun and enjoyment in coin collecting.

After I was offer a 1809 F12 @ $4400 image I was seriously thinking of packing the collection away or just selling it all. That and others offering me 1809 dimes coins for sale that they did not own at a substantial profit for them, just took the fun out of collecting. That like so many other things it seemed it had become just about the quick buck.

I want to also thank the other forum members who exchanged PM's with me and were there to just lend support. They know who they are, they are like the major majority of forum members they are true collectors and keep the hobby funn and enjoyable.

Thanks again to all who listened to my tale of woe and may the coin you have been searching for finally come to each of you.
