Here are a few coins I recently purchased for my personal collection. As usual, Todd did a great job photographing them, don't ya think!

Note the neat RPD on this one:

In hand, this one has gorgeous iridescent toning

This 1886 is my favorite of the bunch - I just love the bright colors!

This one has a really neat die break on the reverse by the shield

The color on your coins is spectacular, I always enjoy opening your threads.

Now THAT is a bit racey ... don't ya think image
  • Very nice. I'm stuck between the '82 and '93 for a favorite. Probably the '93 haven't really seen a color like that before.
  • That 93 just stands out, but all have great color going for them.

Good Lord Charmy. Those are some beautiful examples. If you ever exhibit your collection (like at a show maybe), let me know I'd love to see all these beauties laid out side by side.

BTW: What's an Eagle Eye Photo Seal? Is it Rick Snow's version of a CAC sticker for IHCs? Can just anyone send in coins? Rick is "the Man" when it comes to IHCs. I'd rather have a Rick sticker than a CAC if it came down to it. Please tell me more about the sticker on the first coin's slab.

Thanks Bob, someday I'll have to bring them to a show all at once. And yes, Rick has been doing Eagle Eye Photo Seals for Indian cents for years, way before CAC (only PCGS and NGC coins are eligible), but it's the same concept. It's my understanding that he has a buy-back program for any of his Indian cents with photo seal stickers. I also believe he has an understanding with CAC so that they will automatically CAC an Indian cent that is photo sealed but I don't think it's reciprocal.

Thank you Charmy. I don't know how may IHCs I've bought from you, a few anyway, I'll send them along to Rick and see if I can git a sticker for the slabs.

Not long ago, I had a chance to go poking around my safe deposit box and kept running into IHC after IHC all with your stickers on them. Nice coins all (but not as nice as the ones you keep posting from your personal collection). Thank you for all the help assembling my type set.

Hey, I think that's a very good thing - the more Indian cents, the better I say! If you can catch Rick at a show, like the next Long Beach in early February or the next SF Mint show in April, you can show the Indian cents to him and sometimes he'll let you know whether he will PS them ahead of time. If he does, I think he charges around $15 per coin (plus shipping). You get the sticker and a signed laminated photo of the coin/slab. A lot of my customers like to have their Indian cents photo sealed, and they do get a slight premium.
