If I submitted this for the Quarterly Special, does anybody think it will grade?

Would a Genuine Holder be OK for this coin or would that be silly?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    I do not think this one will grade. Leave it raw.
    I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

    It would probably grade if it was a few grades lower with that scratch on the reverse. It would grade genuine otherwise.......leave it raw.

    Time was that scratch on the reverse would have been ignored, and it would have made it into a VF holder. Unfortunately that line around the eagle's beak looks intentional, which makes it doubtful for a grade.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Even if it would grade, one has to ask why grade a $60 coin?

    I agree, not worth grading and a risk if it will. You could sell it and find a nicer one with not spending that much.
