Grade: AU58 details, but polished to all get out. Some knucklehead wanted this coin to look like it was made of pure silver.
A couple of people said that this was cleaned. Actually, I think the picture is simply overexposed. Here are the full images that the enlargement came from, along with another pair that is a little darker (same piece, different lighting).
Would you happen to know what year that encasement is from jonathanb?

Google shows that the Instructor Literature Series started before 1910 and was going strong in 1913. I assume this was a period piece.

Looking at the Buffalo's hip and tail tip, there appears to be quite a bit of rub. That, coupled with the bright shiny surfaces causes me think the coin is cleaned.
I have one in the same exact encasement. Until now it's the only one I've ever seen.
