Looks like the depth of quality coins offered at Heritage's FUN sale is down considerably...

Yes I know about the 1913 nickel and the 1927-D $20. And yes the Syrup of Saints. But I've been perusing the 4000+ coins listed on Heritage's preview section and while there are usually at least 20 high-end type coins that would with my collection goals this year there are 1 or 2 so far. I was thinking maybe Heritage was saving their best coins to list last. But tonight Heritage emailed me this notice that they are extending their consignment deadline:
<< <i>
We are accepting last-minute consignments that can be in our offices by next Tuesday Dec. 1st. Please call today to arrange to have your coins included in this historic auction. >>
I think many sellers of good stuff still know the environment is extremely uncertain.

I agree with your assessment. Looks like nothing to buy with the proceeds.

Odd. It's not on their schedule, but they do have a Coin World ad for it.

It's not just Heritage, and it's not just the United States. Auctions all over the world have been short for material for quite some time.
