Card backs

I'm not much of one to pay much attention to the backs of cards until recently (I've started to for grading purposes). To me, they all seem very similar with a short bio, stats, and sometimes a dorky cartoon. What makes a good back vs. a bad one?. Topps BASEBALL standard issues are my greatest frame of reference if you have examples.
Sorry for the original title, didn't realize I crossed a line. Was just trying to have fun with my question-------------Pete

I'll tell you after he's banned. PSA CS is busy getting back to the office from Chicago and this is a short work week for them.

Doug it's funny you posted a picture of this guy. I have read his questions and comments over on ebay and on Sportscard Forum and I can't figure out why anyone would want to talk to him.
It's like a revolving door...round and round it goes.

<< <i>The only proof of anything is that Nam812 needs to get a life! ("Sorry, can't comply..."). Like I said, I don't appreciate you interfering with my membership on this chatroom and I hope this leads to YOUR ban. >>
See, that's where you're wrong. YOU interfered with your membership on this forum.
Everybody's looking for someone to blame. If you've been banned before, Pat, you should have stayed away. It's like walking into a bar that just threw you out. Based on the way you act around here, that's happened to you a few times, I'm sure.
If memory serves, you were going to hit the road and conquer the card world...

I remember seeing this on the news when it happened (It's in a courthouse too!!)

Says the guy that keeps coming back where he isnt welcomed/no one wants him.
As for getting me banned, swing from the heels brother cause I am not worried.

I thought he was living in a van down by the river.
The backs of cards have a certain charm - and what you might find "dorky" might be appreciated by others.
I'm a collector of the pen & ink artwork that's on the backs of cards and find it to be a fun "area" of my collecting.
Also, to make it more interesting - sometimes Topps Heritage will give an entirely different cartoon on the related SP to the set. I can't wait for Topps to start selling the artwork for Heritage - I just hope I have deep pockets when it comes.
An example:
Of interest - they didn't see the misspell - "colleting" - so it went into print that way.
I guess what I'm saying - in collecting it's all relative - what one might see as uninteresting and not relevant - to another, it's a treasure.
I've probably got about 150 pieces now - and Toppsvault sold all they had - most got sold in 1989 at the Guernsey Auction.
Good question - Happy Thanksgiving

You tried to enjoy posting on the SGC boards once you were rightly kicked out of here, but the fact that they go 2 days over there without a new post finally got to a desperate attention seeker like you and made you sneak back in over here. Dont go away mad though, just go away.

<< <i>I'm not sure what the problem is but I prefer the cards backs with career stats and at least a head shot, particularly with football. >>
I agree about the career stats. I always liked the back of 80s Fleer baseball. They were a great source of lifetime stats for a player before the internet arrived.
