I had stuff for sale and about 10 auctions which ended on Sunday. Don't know if any ended Saturday. I got nothing. Did you gripe to them first. I didn't file any kind of complaint so maybe they're only putting out fires where there is smoke first.

I was just a bidder on a bunch of stuff and made no contact with them at all. Coupon was totally unsolicited.

Seems like a good deal if you're gonna spend 1k or so on a single item anyways.

Seems it can be used for items already purchased but not yet paid for.

It only applies to buyers who had active bids during the Saturday down time, and even then not all will get the coupon.

Here is a quote from a news article about it.

eBay said it would be sending a 10% coupon up to $100 off to buyers who won Auction-style listings during the outage for any inconvenience. The company said sellers who plan to cancel a transaction must contact their buyers by end of day Tuesday, November 24.

It isn't a one hour period. It's any time during the outage, or within one hour after the outage.

4% is the Double eBay bucks......Normal eBay bucks credit is 2%.

Got it today and used it today to pay for the item I won on Saturday evening at a ridiculously low price already. I waited to see if the seller was going to back out of the auction before I paid. Honestly, I wouldn't have blamed the guy. I got a little over 6 ounces of silver from him for $107.00 shipped. Not a huge rip, but I rarely get silver below spot on ebay and lately it usually goes pretty well above spot. I figure the guy lost out on about $20 - $25. An extra 10% off my purchase price was just icing on the cake for me. I thought it was kind of silly that I was the one getting the discount in this situation.

A common misconception is that if you didn't receive an email giving you the code, that the code won't work for you. How about posting your codes for everyone else to try, it's worth a shot anyway.
