But of course I already new of this development. Remember my sit down with Don Willis, while he ate his lunch at the Baltimore Coin Show thread? That was one of the topics he discussed. He also said he hopes members will be OK with the changes....he claimed they will be major!!!

Additional Details Emerge on New PCGS Photograde Online

In conjunction with the launch of the new PCGS website at the end of November, PCGS will unveil PCGS Photograde Online™. Utilizing high-resolution photographs from PCGS Reference Grading Sets as well as selected coins it has already graded, Photograde Online will enable novice Collectors to approximate the grades of their coins, and advanced collectors to sharpen their grading skills.
25 series will initially be offered, encompassing virtually all 20th Century issues. Beginning with Indian Cents, Liberty Nickels and Barber silver coinage, Photograde Online will of course cover the popular Lincoln Cents, Buffalo Nickels, Mercury Dimes, Standing Liberty Quarters, Walking Liberty Half Dollars as well as Morgan and Peace Dollars. Finally, later 20th Century coinage will be represented by Jefferson Nickels, Roosevelt Dimes, Washington Quarters and Franklin and Kennedy Halves. Eight gold series will be shown, with both Liberty and Indian Head examples of the Quarter Eagle, Half Eagle and Eagle, and Liberty and Saint Gaudens Double Eagles.
Twelve grades, ranging from Good 4 through MS65 will be included in an attractive, easy-to-use interface.
Also planned is Photograde Pro OnlineTM aimed at the expert collector. This service will cover additional series including Bust and Seated coinage, and will include up to 30 different grades for each series, ranging from Poor 1 to MS70.

He never mentioned there would be a fee.
However, the Photograde Pro Online™ service sounds like a fee-based affair.
