    Great news!
I hope the missing ones are found, in the same condition they were in.
I also hope bad things happen to those that stole them to start with.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Obviously, prayers do get answered. My sincerest congratulations in getting your coins back! And a special thanks to everyone in the collector community - from those who had good thoughts and were ever vigilant, to the people who were actually involved in the recovery and especially to the law enforcement officers who were involved. It is GREAT to see a happy ending!

Julian, yes leave the Garrett and Eliasberg pedigrees, but maybe PCGS can contribute by adding subtitles to the "Great 2009 Leidman Heist"...then we can collect famous heist subsets..."yeah I have 3 Leidman bust halves and 2 Dupont seateds".image

Julian, while not the "Greatest story ever told", it most certainly ranks pretty high. Congratulations on your partial recovery and I hope that the remaining items are recovered in good condition. Surely, these thieves will be caught, just a matter of time. I know you have been through a rough time, but you hung in there and prevailed, which just shows the mettle of which you are made. Again, Congratulations.

This is good to read. It's enough for numismatists to see how well the rally cry works. (in my case, it was prayer Julian ... I was prayin' somehow you'd get your stuff back)

  • I'm very happy for you, and very glad that your property will be largely returned to you. It's a real shame that you had to endure this. I'm sure I join most here in awaiting to hear that these guys get nailed!

That is really wonderfull news Julian! I am sure this seems silly in comparison to how you feel, but it made my day to read this. Now I am hoping that the final pieces are found and that the crimilas are caught...I am guessing that both will happen at the same time!

That is great news Julian! I could sense on Sunday that there was possibly some good news on the horizon. Hopefully the coins are found in total and the theives are arrested and dealt with appropriately.

  • I read this info on CCE about an hour ago and was scratching my head as it was posted by another dealer without referencing Julian. However, I knew that it was Julian's writing as it referenced Jon, Laura, and the reward, plus other info.

We are very happy to hear the GREAT news!!
